We require 48 hours (2 working days) notice for a repeat prescription. The re-order form can be handed in over the reception desk, posted or emailed to gmcprescriptions@nhs.net or fill in the form below.
Alternatively you can download and register on the NHS App where you can reorder your repeat medications
Your prescripton will be sent to your nominated pharmacy - if you would like to change this fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
Telephone requests are not accepted
A ‘Review Date’ on your prescription prompts the doctor to check whether you need to make an appointment for a review. A message will then be added to the prescription asking you to make an appointment.
Help with NHS costs
In England, around 90% of prescription items are dispensed free. This includes exemptions from charging for those on low incomes, such as:
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website.
